slow and seady wins the raece

this is my anamashon thet we had to make about a story i chouse to do the tortisand the hare. the moral of the story was slow and steady wins the raece.

First on on our list of  Life Lessons From Aesop’s Fables is the one that everyone knows!

The Story: A Hare is boasting about his speed in front of the other animals and challenges any one of them to race him. A Tortoise accepts his challenge. At first the Hare thinks it’s a joke, but the Tortoise is being serious. So, soon after they begin the race. The Hare runs full speed ahead and to make fun of the Tortoise, he decides to take a nap. The Tortoise keeps slowly going and going. When the Hare wakes up, he notices that the Tortoise is near the finishing post and fails to win the race.

marble run

 

this is my marble run this took me like about 7  minutes. it was super fun and I really liked it.

we used paper, scissors, plastic straws, plastic plates, tape and a red marker.  

wolverine

We have been learning how to write things in our own words. We had read some information on wolverines then close it and write in our own words what we could remember. It was easy to write but hard to remember the facts. This is what I wrote about Wolverines. 

Wolverine 

Wolverine may travel 15 miles a day to find food. Wolverine eats a bit of vegetarian-like plants. Wolverine also eats meat. Wolverine has been known to dig up burros and eat the hibernating animals. 

Wolverine is a powerful animal that resembles a small bear but is actually the biggest Weasel. 

When wolverines are 2 years old the mother leaves them to depend on their own.

2021 blog post

 hi my name is Ella and this is my first blog post for 2021 . I am are you 6 this year and I am in room 6 the first thing that we did for work on our Chromebooks was short stories and I watched the was fun and confusing at the same time. I liked to do it but there wasn't much people that did the present most of the class did snack attack.

I found it easy to wright the vertices in all the shapes.

I found it hard to know exactly what the shape is.

I really enjoyed doing it.

Next time I need to knew my shapes beter.

We were learning to use writing gems in poetry about our artwork Australian animals.

I found it easy to do the poem.

I found it hard to find something to write about.

I really enjoyed doing it.

Next time I need to make more gems.

maths week 1 term for

I found it easy to easy to work out because all you needed to do was counting twos

I found it hard to find out how many days there were

I really enjoyed doing it

Room 1's happy world

Citizen

we are learning about citizens and what makes a good citizen.

I had to watch a video, read some information and read the definitions to answer the question: what maks a good citizen and what is a citizen. 

Citizenship is everything that has to do with being a citizen, or full member, of a country.	A Citizens  help the country	Citizens had to be loyal to the country they live in.
A citizen is person how lives or belongs to there community.	it is good to being a citizen because they are responsible respectful and caring.	Citizens had to be loyal to the country they live in.

Electricity

Today we did makerspace. My group had 8 people in it. We had Tiiria, Alana, Jade, Azure, Ashlyn, Mikaira, Tiana and me. There were 4 choices in makerspace. Lemon battery was one of those things we made work.We conducted electricity by rubbing balloons on our hair and we made it work.We conducted electricity by rubbing combs on our hair and putting it over salt but don't touch the salt with and comb and see what happened. It should have picked up the salt.

Time DLO

We were learning about time.In groups we figured out how much minutes,seconds and hours in each day.I learnt that there are 24 hours in 1 day.I also learnt that there are 48 hours in 2 days.I also learnt that there are 60 minutes in an hour. I learnt that there are 60 seconds in each minute.I also There are 365 days in a year.

Cross Country

We ran at Bledisloe Domain we practiced at Paihia School. We ran 5 laps for practice  but the race was one lap. I was tired and hungry at the end and so were my friends. I came sixth place which was second to last place but I gave it my best .Anyway we had to go up a hill. I enjoyed eating the juice, sausages, cakes and cupcakes but I didn't enjoy coming second to last, but I did my best and it was really fun!
